The battle for the NJSIAA Central Group I girls soccer title came down to Metuchen High School and Robbinsville High School for the second time in three years.
Despite taking an early lead, the Bulldogs could not repeat the success of 2007, losing to the Ravens, 6-1, Thursday.
"When you get this far, it's anybody's game. I was hoping the weather would neutralize things," Metuchen coach Val Gazda said of the rainy day.
